Join the WCOWMA-BC Board of Directors!
Two positions (director and President) will become open for election at the 2015 Annual General Meeting, being held on February 13. Any member in good standing may have their name put forward for nomination. Nominations may be faxed or emailed to the WCOWMA-BC office; nominations will also be taken from the floor during the election process.
Board members provide direction for the organization. In addition, directors are responsible for creating and maintaining relationships and open communication with industry stakeholders, including members, potential members and government bodies. The Board of Directors meets monthly via Skype or conference call, as well as a minimum of twice annually face-to-face, one of which always takes place around the AGM the weekend of Convention.
Some of the positions on the board have a few additional responsibilities. The President, for example, also presides at all meetings of the Board. In the absence of the President, this duty falls to the Vice-President.
All positions are two year terms.
If you or someone you know are interested in serving your onsite wastewater industry association through a position on the Board of Directors please use the Nomination Form included with this notice to submit your nomination.
