Yes, the time has come. John will retire from ASTTBC. In January, John will have served ASTTBC and the people of BC for 44 years. During his service, he and the volunteer leadership have led the development of the Association from 1,100 to 10,500 members and recognition by the BC Government through the ASTT Act as a self-governing professional association. Many milestones include… areas of Qualified Professional recognition, purchase of the ASTTBC building now worth $2million, and incorporation of the ASTTBC Foundation that has offered over $500k to promoting tech careers and currently sits with a healthy endowment of $625k.
