Just over 190 people attended the 8th annual WCOWMA-BC Convention & Trade Show which was held at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre in Abbotsford. The four-day event included practical information and presentations dealing with timed dosing for high strength effluent, municipal wastewater regulation and sewerage systems regulation policy, rainwater harvesting, soils identification and analysis, maintenance, groundwater mounding and more. As well, those ROWPs wishing to maintain their certification in Alberta had the opportunity to attend a mandatory 2015 SOP Update Workshop.

Delegates took advantage the opportunity to ask representatives from ASTTBC, Ministry of Health, and APEG questions after their presentation on Standard Practice, Health Hazards, & the Maintenance of Type 3 Systems.

Thanks to the support of Bionest, a sponsored meet and greet was held on Thursday, March 9. Many of the convention delegates came out, and everyone had a chance to enjoy craft beer, wine, and some snacks while catching up with other people in the industry.
