November 29th is an opportunity to explore philanthropy by donating your time, talent or treasure!
Looking for ways to participate? Some non-profits in the wastewater industry include Operators Without Borders and Wastewatereducation.org.
For the past couple of years, our Association has benefited from presentations at our conferences from Operators Without Borders. This is a Canadian-based non-profit that provides emergency water and wastewater services in disaster areas around the world. In Canada, recently they have been involved in restoring services in flood zones in BC after last year\’s atmospheric river caused extensive damage.
We also sit on the Board for Wastewatereducation.org, who are devoted to improving access to training on onsite wastewater treatment systems design, installation and maintenance. Wastewatereducation.org provides virtual training in jurisdictions throughout North America. The Board has representation from Britain, Australia, the United States and Canada. In addition to virtual education, the organization provides in-person presentations each year at the WWETT Show in Indianapolis.
