Garth Millan led a 5-day System Mapping and Assessment from November 20-24, 2018 for the Semiahmoo First Nation. The Semiahmoo First Nation are in the process of locating and assessing approximately 60 to 80 septic systems on their lands near White Rock, BC.
Following a day in the classroom reviewing requirements under the SSR and SPM, Garth led the students in the process of system location, assessment and report writing to aid them in inventorying the systems on their lands and determining whether those systems are functioning or require maintenance, repair or replacement.
Despite the incredibly wet weather, the group was an enthusiastic and dedicated bunch.
Overall, the training workshop provided excellent opportunities to enhance system identification skills, perform maintenance assessments and develop inventory and maintenance reports.
