Courses

Day 1: Residential Treatment Systems – What You Need to Know 

February 6, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Septic tanks and sizing, pump system design, and residential applications for AdvanTex Treatment Systems.

Day 2: Commercial and Community Wastewater – What You Need to Know 

February 7, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

How to design a treatment system for commercial-strength waste; use of AdvanTex recirculating packed-bed filter technology to meet commercial system needs; pairing commercial treatment systems with Orenco Sewers.

Day 3: Pumps and Panels – What You Need to Know 

February 8, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 

Two popular classes in a single day for your convenience! All about the pumps we use for our septic systems, how they work, and how to service them. Then, a look at control panels, the variety of panels we manufacture and how they work, plus hands-on troubleshooting.

Day 4: Operation and Maintenance – What You Need to Know  

February 9, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Servicing systems, both Septic Tank Effluent Pumping (STEP) and AdvanTex, ending with troubleshooting. A close look at common service issues and how to address them.

Training

WCOWMA-BC provides excellent training opportunities for those working in the onsite wastewater industry, whether already engaged in the industry or planning to enter it. The Onsite Wastewater Practitioner Training Program provides a solid base for those wishing to work as Planners and/or Installers.

This program is recognized in the Western Provinces through the New West Partnership (formerly TILMA) and federally through the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

Additional field and classroom training sessions are available for continuing education purposes. For information on upcoming training opportunities, contact the WCOWMA-BC office.
