Thank you to our attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and Board members who joined us for the 2026 WCOWMA-BC Convention & Trade Show, held February 26–28, 2026 at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo, BC.
With over 300 attendees, this year’s event brought together professionals from across British Columbia’s onsite wastewater community for three days of education, collaboration, and connection.
When our industry shows up to learn, connect, and collaborate, we all move forward together.
Education Sessions
The 2026 program delivered practical, field-focused learning designed to strengthen technical knowledge and professional practice.
Sessions explored critical topics such as linear loading and jurisdictional flow under the BC SPM, combined treatment and dispersal systems (CTDS), contract management and risk reduction, regulatory compliance lessons learned from real-world enforcement cases, and the growing role of AI in documentation and reporting for onsite wastewater professionals. Attendees also engaged in discussions around professional accountability trends through ASTTBC insights, the push to standardize the term “flushable,” and practical comparisons of Type 2 ATU versus CTDS systems.
The agenda also featured live polls, Q&A opportunities, and interactive engagement through the Attendee App and Portal, allowing participants to actively contribute throughout sessions. Technical exhibitor-led learning sessions added further hands-on insights directly from product and system experts.
A sincere thank you to our breakfast, lunch, coffee break, and event sponsors for supporting the educational experience throughout the convention.
Trade Show
The WCOWMA-BC Trade Show showcased leading products, services, and innovations across the onsite wastewater industry.
With 32 exhibitors, attendees had the opportunity to connect directly with manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers while exploring new technologies and practical field solutions.
The trade show continues to be an integral part of the convention, and it would not be possible without the commitment and support of our exhibitors and sponsors.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Annual General Meeting took place on Friday, February 27, 2026, providing members with updates on association business, financial reporting, and board activities, along with the opportunity to participate in governance and elections.

Banquet Dinner & Entertainment
Friday evening’s banquet brought the community together for dinner, celebration, and an unforgettable night of entertainment.
This year, we welcomed Norden, an award-winning magician, comedian, and our banquet MC. With more than 25 years of experience, five Comedy Magician of the Year awards, and performances for brands such as Pepsi, CIBC, and TELUS, Norden delivered exactly what the evening called for.
Attendees enjoyed sharp comedy, high-energy magic, and just the right amount of playful mischief — all tailored for a room full of industry professionals. The energy in the room was undeniable, and the evening was a true highlight of the convention.
A special thank you to DBO Experts for sponsoring the Banquet & Entertainment evening.
