Illegal systems cause significant issues for those in the onsite wastewater community. Not only do these systems contribute to increased system failure and pollution, they provide an unfair competition for those working to provide safe, responsible onsite wastewater treatment and dispersal.
WCOWMA-BC is hosting a series of Town Hall meetings to discuss the proliferation of illegal systems in the province. We welcome your attendance and input as we discuss this issue. Topics to be covered are:
What constitutes an illegal system?
Who is responsible for investigating and addressing illegal systems?
What is your role as an authorized person?
How can your industry association support you?
Each town hall meeting will also host a guest speaker presenting on industry issues of local interest.
