Septic Rebates in CSRD

Rebates for proper maintenance of septic systems will be coming to the North Shuswap, South Shuswap and rural Sicamous areas. At the June 19 CSRD board meeting, directors voted to approve a rebate program that will allow homeowners in four electoral areas to apply for funding for septic system maintenance. Training

The WCOWMA Onsite Wastewater Management of BC (WCOWMA-BC) provides excellent industry training programs for Onsite Wastewater Practitioners and Professionals. The Onsite Wastewater Practitioner Training Program for industry certification is recognized in the Western Provinces through Alberta Municipal Affairs, the New West Partnership Agreement (formerly TILMA) and federally through the Agreement on Internal Trade.

As well as this industry certification program, the WCOWMA-BC offers individual field and classroom training sessions for continuing education purposes. For information on training opportunities in your area, contact the WCOWMA-BC office.
