The following information was distributed this past week to FVRD pumpers using the Chilliwack receiving facility. Rather than opening up better access for septage based on previous concerns, there is even further decreased access for pumpers and thus for homeowners in this region. This is a critical issue as septic systems require regular cleaning. WCOWMA-BC is reaching out to the various regulatory authorities about this issue to see if there is some kind of solution, even if only temporary, for this issue.
