You may not have noticed it yet, but we have (finally) launched our new website. Similar to the old website, each provincial site can be accessed either through the main WCOWMA site or directly through the provincial URL.
The site has a clean modern look, is more user friendly and has allowed us to better market our members with an expanded Locate-a-Pro feature.
Helping homeowners to find our member’s services is important, so the site provides homeowners with a list of questions to ask their contractor, depending on the service they are looking for and then the Locate-a-Pro provides more detail on the services the member provides.
New resources for our members will help them access information they need to get the job done. Members have access to a Resource Library that has all the updated worksheets they will need and also contains regulations and standards both past and present. The worksheets will help you in the design process, while the historical documents ensure that if you are working on an older system, you can look up the standard or regulation it was designed and installed under.
A Knowledge Network will provide webinars and videos on the practical, technical and regulatory aspects of our work. Those who want to learn something new, upgrade their knowledge, or gain continuing education points will find this to be extremely helpful for them.
With the new site comes some housekeeping. Over the next week or so members will receive an email inviting them to set up their username and password in the system so that they can access the members benefits available only to them. Your old username and password will no longer function.
Please take advantage of the opportunity to set up a new username and password and take advantage of all that the new site has to offer. If you notice something that isn’t working or that doesn’t make sense to you, or if you think of something that would be helpful that is not yet on the site, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your suggestions.
